Help Support the Wyoming Valley Levee Trail Recreation Beautification Project

The Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority is requesting donations to enhance the recreation amenities along the Wyoming Valley Levee Trail. Levee Fee funds are used exclusively for flood control operation and maintenance activities on the system which leaves the upgrade of these recreation components unfunded. Help us beautify the levee by adding new landscaping, a fresh coat of paint on the garbage receptacles and upgrade the educational wayside kiosks with new information to be enjoyed by trail users. The LCFPA aims to be a good neighbor to the communities it serves, but our efforts to enhance the system’s recreational amenities will not reach maximum effectiveness unless we have the support of the entire community.

Any Donation Helps!

Since its installation, the Wyoming Valley Levee Trail has been among one of the favorite places in Luzerne County to spend warm summer days. But in recent years, it seems to have lost its magic. Help it flourish again by donating to the Wyoming Valley Levee Trail Recreation Beautification Project.

The Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority is accepting $2.00 donations, along with other smaller and larger donations. We are seeking donations of any size to assist us in our efforts. Donors who make contributions of $2,500 or more will receive the advertising rights for a year at one planting station. Donors who contribute less than $2,500 will receive recognition in our bi-annual newsletter.
